Iranian artist Mani Mehrzad wins Chairman’s Award at Art Revolution Taipei

TEHRAN – Iranian artist Mani Mehrzad has won the President’s Award from Art Revolution Taipei.

He received the prize for “The Snow Geography”, his acrylic painting on canvas of 180×120 cm.

The surreal triptych artwork shows human-like creatures fighting against each other.

Championship, the grand prize of Art Revolution Taipei (ART), Asia’s iconic art fair, was awarded to Turkish artist Mustafa Yuce for his oil on canvas titled ‘Asylum’.

The 147x105cm hyper-realistic painting shows a young woman dozing gently in a large hole in the wall.

This year, Art Revolution Taipei is recruiting 368 artists from 54 countries to showcase around 3,000 artworks in characteristic styles and various art forms, including the world’s most eye-catching NFT crypto art.

All exhibited works are rigorously selected by ART’s artistic director Lee Sun-Don, an internationally renowned artist.

Over 300 works of art entered the International Artist Grand Prix competition, the category in which Mehrzad won the prize.

The works were featured in an exhibition at Art Revolution Taipei from August 5-8.

Art Revolution Taipei takes an innovative step to put the artist first, with each booth being the artist’s solo exhibition, where the visitor can interact with the artist opposite.
